Four passengers are reported to have died when a 14-seater matatu plunged into River Sondu yesterday. The matatu was travelling from Kisii-Oyugis to Kisumu when the accident occurred. The matatu collided with a lorry before tripping off into River Sondu. Some of the injured were rushed to Nyabondo Mission Hospital in critical condition for treatment while others were rushed to Russian hospital in Kisumu city.
